Yearbook Teacher

yearbooksThe Yearbook staff works during class and throughout the school year to produce a unique and expressive publication representing all the students at Woodson. Students create the annual yearbook. If you are interested in joining the Yearbook staff, you will sign up for Photo Journalism 1-4. 

Submit your yearbook photo!  Use this flier for instructions.  Deadline to submit photos is Friday, February 5th.

Newspaper shownThe Cavalcade’s goals are to inform and entertain the student body, faculty and community. As an extension of the journalism instruction program, we report and analyze the issues in a manner that is fair, balanced, responsible and accurate. Students create a monthly newspaper. Signed letters to the editor are welcome. Submit letters to Room D-205 or send by e-mail to @email .

Broadcast Journalism

Broadcast StudentsStudents produce a live daily program viewed by the student body. Curriculum includes the technical as well as artistic and ethical aspects of broadcast production. Students create their own feature stories, PSAs, and author video pieces to learn editing, lighting, sound, and career connections in communications. Students can enroll for multiple years.
