    Policies and Procedures: 

    Visiting the Library

    • Before school no pass is needed. Come on in!

    • During Class: Show the library staff a pass from your teacher. Students must sign using their Student ID  at the Library Kiosk located at the main desk.

    • Lunch: Passes must be obtained from the Cafeteria. Students must sign in at the Library Kiosk located at the main desk.

    • Quick Checkout between Classes: No Pass needed

    Circulation

    • Each student will use their Student ID to check out Library materials.

    • Students may check out up to FIVE books for three weeks. Books may be renewed unless there is a "hold" on the library book. Please talk to the library staff if you need a book renewed. You do not need the book with you to renew it.  There are no overdue fines.

    • Testing Guides (SAT/AP) may be checked-out for a week. They may not be renewed.

    • Magazines do circulate. See the librarians for more information.

    Computer and Printer Use

    • Students may use the computers in accordance with FCPS Acceptable Use Policy. Please do not stream music or video unless it is assigned by a teacher. No video games are permitted. Email for academic purposes is encouraged.

    • Black/White and color printing are available in the library. Please see library staff for specifics.

    • A copy machine is available for student use. Please be mindful of Copyright Guidelines.

    Appropriate Behavior

    • Students are encouraged to spend time in the library doing work, relaxing, and even socializing. However, students are expected to behave in a manner that does not disrupt or distract others in the library.

    • All FCPS and W.T. Woodson High School Policies are to be observed in the library at all times.

    • No food is permitted in the library.
