Policies and Procedures:
Visiting the Library

Before school, no pass is needed. Come on in!

During Class: Show the library staff a pass from your teacher. Students must sign using their Student ID at the Library Kiosk at the main desk.

Quick Checkout between Classes: No Pass needed
Circulation

Each student will use their own Student ID to check out Library materials.

Students may check out up to FIVE books for three weeks.
Books may be renewed unless there is a "hold" on the library book.
Please talk to the library staff if you need a book renewed. You do not need the book with you to renew it.
There are no overdue fines. -
Testing Guides (SAT/AP) may be checked out for a week. They may not be renewed.

Magazines do circulate. See the librarians for more information.

Library overdue notices are sent to your FCPS Google account.
Computer and Printer Use

Students may use the computers in accordance with FCPS Acceptable Use Policy. Email for academic purposes is encouraged.

Black/White printing is free and is available in the library. Please see the library staff for specifics.

A copy machine is available for student use. Please be mindful of Copyright Guidelines.
Appropriate Behavior

Students are encouraged to spend time in the library doing work, relaxing, and socializing. However, students are expected to behave in a manner that does not disrupt or distract others in the library.

All FCPS and W.T. Woodson High School Policies are to be observed in the library at all times.

No food is permitted in the library due to student allergies and religious/cultural observances.
