Class of 2025 Seniors

It’s your senior year of high school, enjoy it! You’ve spent the past four years dreaming about graduating, and the day is close.  Before long you will be off to college and life’s adventure. Make your last year at Woodson your best.  By now, you know the many resources available to you and we encourage you to use them.  If you are struggling or unsure of what to do next, speak to your parents, teachers, or counselor.  They are all here to help you make the best decisions.  

Senior year is an important one.  Enjoy your last year of high school, you deserve it, and always stay on track, don't lose your motivation, and don't forget to smile while doing so!

Cap and Gown Ordering

Seniors completed the cap and gown information form on Monday, September 16th, during a presentation with their counselor. If your senior did not attend the Student Services Class of 2025 Senior Meeting on the 16th, they can complete the form by clicking HERE (only students can access the form). The form was also shared with all seniors on the Class of 2025 Schoology page. 

Information provided on this form will be sent directly to Jostens to place one large order for our caps and gowns. Parents do not need to do anything related to this item. Only students will be notified of their form submission.

Legacy Bricks Courtyard

The brick courtyard in front of the school, between the main entrance and the auditorium, still has plenty of room for engraved bricks for you to remember your special student or as a wonderful legacy for all the members of your family.  They make great graduation presents for Seniors too!  

Orders must be received by April 4th 2025 to be included and installed in this year’s order so don’t wait!

Graduation Common Questions

  • Is there a limit on how many family members can attend? No, there is plenty of space at EagleBank, so we do not have to limit tickets nor hand out tickets.
  • Where do students report to? The loading dock at EagleBank arena is where students will enter. They must be in line at the loading dock by 8:30am!
  • What time do the doors open for families? Doors open one hour before the start of the ceremony, so for Woodson 8:30am.
  • How long is the ceremony? No more than 2 hours. We should be walking off the floor by 11:30am.
  • Is there enough parking? There is plenty of parking and there will be parking attendants from the arena directing traffic.
  • Is there reserved seating? PTSO/All Night Grad Party will be raffling off reserved seats at graduation that are close to the stage. Otherwise, there is no reserved seating at graduation.
  • What do senior dues cover? It covers the cost of having the ceremony at EagleBank arena, cap and gowns, diplomas, medals, programs, videographer, and much more.
  • Will the ceremony be live streamed?  Yes, we as a school purchase the stream that will be linked on our website on the senior page.

EagleBank Arena Information

Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be held at EagleBank Arena, on the campus of George Mason University. The address is 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax, VA 22030 and directions can be found here: https://www.eaglebankarena.com/article/maps-directions. Please see below for additional information about the venue.

  • Handicap accessible seats
    • EagleBank Arena provides accessible seating and it will be available on a first-come, first-seated basis.  When you enter the building, you are on row F.  This row has no stairs to climb.  Rowes E, F, and G will be reserved for those patrons that cannot navigate stairs and one family member for each patron.  
    • EagleBank asks that only one family member sit with the person since the seating is limited. There is ample seating near theses sections for other family members.
    • If anyone is in a wheelchair, EagleBank has available wheelchair seating in each corner of the course.

 

  • There are no tickets for graduation. Seating is on a first come, first seated basis and there are plenty of seats at EagleBank to accommodate graduates, family, and friends.
     
  • *NEW* There is a bag policy at EagleBank Arena! If anyone guest is carrying a bag, it must be clear or no larger than a clutch style bag not exceeding 5"x7".  
     
  • Items prohibited at EagleBank include the following (there will be a bag check for ALL guests.):
    • Weapons
    • Outside food and beverage
    • Bottles, cans, containers, and coolers
    • Fireworks
    • Selfie sticks or tripods
    • Illegal drugs
    • Laser pointers
    • Noisemaking devices (i.e. whistles, air horns, drums, horns, etc.)
    • Luggage
    • Banners or flags
    • Silly string
    • Balloons
    • Any size pole or stick (medical aids such as canes/crutches permitted)
    • Projectiles, including frisbees, footballs, and inflatable balls
    • Audio/video equipment 
    • Professional photography equipment
    • Cameras with a detachable lens
    • Drones
    • Skateboards, rollerblades, and hoverboards
    • Un-approved pamphlets, handouts, ads, etc.

 

  • EagleBank Arena management reserves the right to prohibit any other item which is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.  Prohibited items will not be accepted at the arena for safekeeping.  Please leave all prohibited items secured inside your vehicle or at home.

 

  • Parking is available in lots A, L, and K based on availability

 

  • After graduation - parents will meet graduates outside the North entrance of the building. No re-entry will be allowed for graduates.

Naviance is a comprehensive website designed for high school students and their parents. It's a great resource for students as they make decisions about academic plans, colleges, and careers. Naviance is linked with Counselor's Office, a service used in our school counseling offices to track and analyze data about college and career plans. We encourage you to use this valuable tool!
