Congratulations to Ms. Emma Miller on her recognition as the February 2024 FCPS CARES Region 5 Recipient of the Month, presented by the FCPS Department of Human Resources.

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story below, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Below is the write-up submitted by Ms. Kathy Martin, a colleague at Woodson High School.

Ms. Miller was driving to work on Monday morning when she noticed a young adult on the side of the road who just happened to go through a medical emergency. She pulled over, not knowing who it was to help, and then realized it was a Woodson student. She stayed with the student the entire time and even rode in the ambulance with them to be transported to the nearby hospital. We appreciate her kindness to her specific classroom students and her support for every student at Woodson. Thank you, Emma!
