PTSO and Parent Information

Each month this school year, we will share information pertinent and timely to your child’s schooling.  This information will be distributed in the form of newsletters or monthly parent meetings.

Topics will be timely and will cover issues that relate to how to support your child at home and at school.  Our first meeting will be September 24, 2019, at 7 p.m. in Cavalier Hall and will focus on study skills for your teenager through articles and resources aimed at assisting them in their new classes for the 2019-2020 year.  In October we will be focusing on wellness and how to support your child through the ups and downs of high school.  As we move into November we will bring to you articles and resources on how to support your child with peer pressures and addictions that come with vaping, drugs and alcohol.  During December there will not be a meeting and encourage all of our families and staff to enjoy the winter break.  We will pick up again in the new year with topics around school, life, home balance, course selections, diversity and equity and stress.

Our hope is that these opportunities will provide you as parents with ways to assist your child throughout the school year and serve as talking points with them.  Please continue to visit this page for more information regarding these topics and resources.

Another valuable resource is the PTSO meetings, the second Tuesday of each month, beginning in September.  All are held at 7 p.m. in the Library.  The PTSO can be found at https://wtwoodsonptso.ptboard.com/.
