The Writing Center
The Woodson Writing Center is a place for students to improve their writing skills working one on one with a student who is an advanced writer. Students bring writing assignments from any class and in any stage of the writing process to work through the logic and mechanics of the work. In 25 - 30 minute sessions, tutors guide students to assess the expectations of the assignment, think critically about the content, and assess their own writing style and voice. The Writing Center believes that by working with tutors on individual assignment, students are both improving their work in the immediate and learning the writing process for long term benefits.
