What are these values really all about?

Each month there will be a presentation on a core value that explains the value and how it contributes to a positive community built on strong relationships.

How will students be recognized?

Teachers will present students with recognition certificates and discuss what actions the student took to merit recognition. Unlike other awards at Woodson, CAV Culture recognition is for the little things people do that make the community a better place for all of its members. So something as simple as picking up someone else’s trash could merit core value recognition.

So that’s all there is to it?

Yep, that’s all there is to it. CAV Culture is all about ‘catching’ others doing the right thing even when they think no one is watching. And did we talk about food yet? The last Friday of each month all students that were recognized that month will be allowed to leave the last class of the day ten minutes early and head to the cafeteria for a tasty treat before heading home for the weekend.
