College and Career Fairs

PHILADELPHIA ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN COLLEGE FAIR A

19 October, 10 am – 2 pm , Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture - The Philadelphia Architecture & Design College Fair is free and open to the public. High school and college students, parents, teachers and counselors will have the opportunity to learn about programs in architecture and other built environment disciplines. FCPS COLLEGE FAIR

20 October, 7:30-9:30 pm, Fair Oaks Mall - The FCPS College Fair offers a venue for high school students and parents to meet with colleges and universities to share information and answer questions about their institutions. FCPS COLLEGE NIGHT

21 October, 7-9 pm, Hayfield Secondary School - College Night attracts between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees. ALCANZA COLLEGE FAIR

23 October, 10 am – 12:30 pm, Eagle Bank Arena, George Mason University – George Mason University hosts Alcanza to inform the Latino high school student population in the Washington, DC metropolitan area about higher education opportunities and to encourage them to pursue their education beyond high school. Over 150 colleges from all over the nation offer information/contacts at Alcanza.  Attendees will hear from a keynote speaker and college student panel as well as participate in the college fair. NACAC GREATER WASHINGTON DC NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR

27 October, 1- 4 pm, Walter E. NATIONAL PORTFOLIO DAY

2 November, 1 – 5 pm, George Mason University School of Art, Art & Design Building, 4515 Patriot Circle, Fairfax, VA, 22030 - Representatives from the nation’s leading art colleges and universities accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design will travel to George Mason University to review artwork, discuss educational and professional goals, and share information on art programs, careers, admissions, and financial aid and scholarships with high school and college students interested in applying to an art school for fine arts or design.  For more information and to register, visit https://soa.gmu.edu/npd/.

2019 EDISON ACADEMY APPRENTICESHIPS AND SKILLED WORKFORCE CAREER FAIR

7 November, 11 am – 1:30 pm – The Edison Apprenticeship offers an opportunity to become educated about and to connect with in-demand technical careers and skilled trades that offer careers attainable through apprenticeship, industry certifications, and one or two-year trade schools or community college programs.  Interested students should arrange a pre-approved absence if they would like to attend.  Please contact Eugenia “Genie” Williford at @email or call 703.924.8154 to register your attendance.

MIDATLANTIC EQUITATION FESTIVAL COLLEGE FAIR

16 November, 10 am – 2 pm, The Show Place Arena, Concourse Level, Prince George’s Equestrian Center – Discover colleges in the U.S. offering riding and showing opportunities.  Representatives will be on hand to discuss academics, scholarships, financial aid, and (of course) horses.  Visit http://www.midatlanticeq.com/college-fair/ for more information.
