A Celebration of History and Community: 20th Annual Black History Month Lunch & Learn a Success

The 20th annual Black History Month luncheon at Carter G. Woodson High School Teacher posing with teas to taste.was a resounding success, a vibrant celebration of culture and heritage enjoyed by our dedicated faculty and staff. Cav Hall was transformed into a feast for the senses, filled with the aroma of delicious, diverse cuisine and visually stunning displays showcasing pivotal moments and figures in Black history. The dedicated Black History Month Luncheon planning committee truly outdid themselves, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. This special event, exclusively for our faculty and staff, provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues over a shared meal and meaningful conversations, fostering a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of Black history.

The "Lunch & Learn" format proved to be a perfect blend of education and celebration. Attendees were able to explore fascinating facts, literature, and stories from the African Diaspora while savoring a fantastic, complimentary meal. The room buzzed with engaged conversations, highlighting the event's role in strengthening our school community. The 20th anniversary of this cherished tradition served as a powerful reminder of the importance of celebrating and honoring Black history, and we look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.
