Congratulations to Ms. Young Sun Huh on being recognized as the March 2022 Region 5 FCPS CARES Recipient of the Month by the FCPS Department of Human Resources.

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Lisa Muir, head librarian at Woodson High School.

The Woodson Library would like to recognize the outstanding effort and support our custodian Young Sun Huh has brought to our Library service learning, HATS FOR SOME.org. Hats for Some is a service learning project where students can make a hat for the homeless shelter S.O.M.E located in Washington DC in the Woodson Library. Though teachers and staff will knit or crochet a hat from time to time, Ms. Young Sun Huh has crochet a hat and donated it to our program on a daily basis. To put it in numbers Ms. Young Sun Huh as made around 80 hats. Our students have knitted/crocheted around 61. Ms. Young Sun Huh thank YOU for all the hats you have made and donated to the shelter. You are a role model for our students on paying it forward and your hats are beautiful. The Woodson Library appreciates your kindness and hat donations to SOME. Thank you!
